A memorial service will be held at the SeaLife Center to honor Dunham on Saturday, March 9 at 3 p.m., and is open to the public. The center released a statement on Thursday that Willard E. Dunham had passed away. Dunham served on the center’s Board of Directors since it’s inception in 1990. In a release from the center, “the Alaska SeaLife Center has chosen to rename its Bay Conference Room after Dunham. Prior to 2010, the majority of board meetings occurred in this room, which overlooks Resurrection Bay and the eider habitats.
